InfoThis programme is designed to give you an introduction to animal care. You will be given the chance to participate in a range of activities such as:
  • feeding and cleaning animals
  • exercising, handling and checking their health
  • basic health and safety when working with animals

  • In-house animals include rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rodents and exotic animals including bearded dragons and geckos
  • There are also plenty of opportunities to take part in work based placements in kennels and catterys, stables, farms, pet shops, vetinary care and rescue centres

The course can lead to a progression onto an Apprenticeship programme and/or employment in the related area.
